Empowering Educators

Educators have been an integral part of informing the BRAVE Education curriculum, inviting BRAVE presenters in to deliver prevention education. The role of an educator is fundamental in the protection and empowerment of young minds. BRAVE has found that teachers are reaching out for solutions to better equip their students to recognize risks and to foster healthy relationships. Education professionals have a frontline role and are especially significant community partners.

Collaborative Network of Support

BRAVE Education upholds a ‘collaborative approach’ as a foundational aspect of their values and a source of strength. BRAVE Education honours the knowledge and research of those who have come before them and is excited to build on that knowledge – not ‘reinvent the wheel’. The growing anti-human trafficking movement across the globe is filtering into communities, with a variety of agencies doing their part.

Within our community we have been fortunate to have support from and work alongside many inspiring leaders:

Optimist International is a service organization of over 2500 clubs, seeing tremendous worldwide growth, providing hope and positive vision to bring out the best in youth, our communities and ourselves. The Dinner Optimist Club of Calgary has been instrumental in launching BRAVE Education for Trafficking Prevention and encourages other Optimist Clubs to join in providing support for this vital education.

The men of Freedom 8848 have chosen BRAVE Education for Trafficking to support through their epic annual journeys of climbing the height of Everest in Canada, benefitting BRAVE Education for Trafficking Prevention, Next Step Ministries and International Justice Mission. We are grateful and in awe of these brave generous men, their supporters and their families!
